Our fully accredited school houses a diverse population of 550
children in grades kindergarten through five. Our teaching and support
staff includes an English-as-a-Second-Language (ESL) teacher, a
media specialist, a computer resource specialist, an art specialist,
a music specialist, a PE specialist, a guidance counselor, a speech
pathologist, and three special education teachers.
The school mascot, the Pembroke Meadows Panther,
is ever-present, helping students and staff maintain school spirit.
Each morning, students recite "The Panther Responsibility
Pledge" which reminds them that they are responsible
for their own actions and their own learning. The pledge concludes
with the poignant phrase, "If it is to be it is up
to ME!"
Each student at Pembroke Meadows has a PRIDE folder,
which goes home each day. These folders serve as an effective means
of communication between the home and school.
Our school is proud to have 14 business or military partners-in-education.
We are thrilled to have the support of the community-including,
but not limited to CiCi's Pizza which sponsors monthly Pizza Night
for our families.
We have hundreds of active volunteers at Pembroke Meadows. Each
spring the school honors its volunteers with a grand celebration.
Last spring's soiree was attended by over 150 of these fine and
generous folks.
We are very proud of our accomplishments over the years. This year
we have particular pride in our Teacher of the Year, Renee Hughes, our speech teacher.
Additionally,
we are certain that our faculty chorus, comprised of 15 plus enthusiastic
staff members will put us on the map!
