The purpose of the Computer Technology Program at Pembroke Meadows is to provide computer technology instruction to instructional staff members and students. The goal is to integrate computer and other technology into the curriculum as a valuable resource to enhance learning.

How is Computer Technology integrated into the curriculum?

The Computer Resource Specialist plans with teachers to integrate technology into specific areas of the curriculum.Teachers take his or her class at least once a week to the computer lab to integrate technology for specific curriculum objectives.The Computer Resource Specialist teaches Student Computer Technology Proficiencies and integrates specific technologies into each grade level's curriculum.

What kind of technology do we have in our building?

We have a computer lab with 30 computers, as well as 2-3 computers in each classroom with ceiling mounted projectors in every classroom, 4 laptops carts with 20-24 laptops each, 1 AlphaSmart Cart with 30 units, an interactive ActivBoard, 10 digitial cameras, wireless keyboards and mice for each classroom, , 4 scanners, a state of the art broadcast system for use with our student run production of morning announcements, video conferencing capiblities through the district, and much more. We also have over 30 titles of software in use by our staff and students.
