Pembroke Meadows offers three types of guidance/counseling: individual, group and classroom.

Individual: School counselors provide individual sessions for students to assist with a variety of educational and personal concerns. The primary purpose of these sessions is to help students explore their concerns, make appropriate plans of action and be successful in following through with their plans.

Group: In some instances, students help each other by working in groups with leadership from a counselor. Group couseling allows students to share ideas about specific issues.

Classroom: School counselors visit the classroom and teach lessons relating to the state mandated monthly themes entitled Principles of American Citizenship. Each guidance topic correlates to one or more goals and objectives in the VBCPS Guidance Curriculum.
